May 20, 2024 – º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Files Comments on Gulf of Mexico Offshore Wind Propose Sale Notice
On May 20, 2024, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ submitted comments on the Gulf of Mexico Public Sale Notice (GOMW-2 PSN). º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s comments echoed previous º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ comments on the first Gulf of Mexico wind lease PSN and the Central Atlantic PSN. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ encouraged BOEM to move forward with leasing in the Gulf of Mexico, highlighting offshore wind’s potential for significant contributions to clean energy and job creation. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ also encouraged BOEM to make maximum use of bid credits for supply chain/workforce and fisheries compensation. Finally, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ asked for clarity on—and recommended changes to—the proposed lease conditions. BOEM will review comments on the PSN and issue a Final Sale Notice prior to holding a lease sale.
